A Field Workshop on Diversity, Ecology and Conservation
We successfully conducted a three-day field workshop on “Frogs of the Western Ghats – Diversity, Ecology and Conservation” at the Field Research Station, Goliangadi, Kundapura.The immersive workshop brought participants closer to the fascinating world of Western Ghats amphibians through field observations, species identification, and discussions on frog ecology, habitat, and conservation. Participants gained hands-on experience in observing frogs in their natural habitats and understanding their important role as indicators of ecosystem health.The programme aimed to encourage greater appreciation of amphibian diversity and inspire participants to contribute to nature education, habitat restoration, and amphibian conservation.
